Rev. Chuck Freeman has served as Minister of Spiritual Life with Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church in Austin, Texas since 1996.  He is the creator; producer and host of the radio program “Soul Talk” in its 14th year of broadcasting.  The program currently airs on Progressive Blend Radio based in Washington, D.C.

Chuck is the Founder and President of The Free Souls Project, promoting the integration of spirituality, democracy and ethics from a liberal faith perspective.   He blogs on Politics & Religion at Fire Dog Lake/The Seminal & The Huffington Post.

His Op Ed Pieces have been published in the Austin American Statesman, Austin’s NPR affiliate, KUT, and The Washington Post/Newsweek “On Faith” blog.  Chuck was a panelist on the 2009 Netroots Nation workshop “A New Progressive Vision for Church & State.”   He will be broadcasting live with Progressive Blend Radio at this years Netroots Nation conference in Las Vegas.

Chuck is a lively, reflective, down to earth man who combines irreverence, compassion, and a playful humor in his life and work.

Soul Talk Radio is a weekly one-hour radio show that has been broadcasting continuously in Austin, Texas since February of 1996. The program currently airs on Progressive Blend Radio.
